Breakdown: My New Piece (before I’ve heard it)

This is an evaluation sheet for students to use when they receive a new piece.  There is another evaluation about mood and the sounds of the piece once they have either sight read or listened to it, but this one helps the student develop a good sense of the piece and how they may want to approach it.  Thinking critically about a new piece insures that students look beyond just notes and rhythms when they create a big-picture view of the task at hand!
